Wild Atlantic Surf Co Sponsors Doolin Surf Festival 2020

Wild Atlantic Surfboard Company heads to Doolin as sponsors and supporters of  the 2020 Doolin Surf Festival this March for a weekend of fun, surf and music.

The Doolin Surf Festival also known as the Doolin Surf Fest hosted by Hotel Doolin on the West Coast of Ireland in County Clare returns for another exciting event this March attracting the best of Irish Big Wave Surfing and the Irish surfing community.

Home to big wave surfing, scenic County Clare has the iconic Cliffs of Moher, Riley’s and other big wave named spots on its coastline including the surf town of Lahinch that attracts thousands of visitors every year to the sport and area. The event will gather Surfers, outdoor enthusiasts, photographers and music lovers under one roof on the weekend of the 20th to 22nd March 2020.

The Wild Atlantic Surf Co Team will be on hand at the Surfers Village to showcase our new changing robe designed here in Ireland and to talk about fin set ups, surfboards and accessories. There will also be a raffle where we will be asking people to guess the dimensions of a custom surfboard donated by Wild Atlantic Surf Co made by West Coast shaper Luke Underwood All proceeds from the raffle will go the Irish Surf Tow Rescue Club. The winner will walk away with the surfboard at the end of the weekend.

In addition to supporting the event we will also be sponsoring the film category competition with products from Shapers Surf , Changing Robes and surfing accessoriesfor the winners.   The competitions include Wave of the Winter, Tonn Mór (biggest wave ridden), Ride of the Year, Wipeout of the Year and a short film competition. Entries are subject to competition rules and those interested ought to visit the Festival website for terms and conditions.

The Doolin Surf Festival is a three-day event and is being run by people who love the sea, for people who love the sea. Surfers of all crafts, film-makers, artists, writers, musicians — for those of us the ocean inspires, heals, humbles and exhilarates, this is a gathering that gives us a chance to celebrate and give thanks for being lucky enough to live and work and play in this extraordinary environment.

The festival will host a number of film screenings, guest speakers, art exhibitions, workshops, competitions, bands and DJs and the best of sustainable local food and hospitality.

The competitions include Wave of the Winter, Tonn Mór (biggest wave ridden), Ride of the Year, Wipeout of the Year and a short film competition.

The Doolin Surf Festival is certainly a weekend not to be missed!
