Sustainability

We try to minimise our impact on the planet by designing long lasting, durable and functional products that won’t end up in landfill and from day one we have never used single use plastic in any of our packaging.

In addition we have always and continue to look to develop more sustainable & innovative products that are manufactured closer to home.

Nowhere is this more apparent than with our Apparel which is fulfilled by Teemill.

The fashion industry is now worth more than 2.5 trillion dollars and employs over 75 million people around the world. It's also responsible for 10% of humanity's carbon emissions (World Economic Forum) and one of the world's largest polluters.

Being serious about sustainability means fashion needs a redesign and that is why we chose to partner with Teemill as our apparel fulfilment partners who print our apparel demand.

All of our apparel is made from 100% organic cotton grown without using fertilizers, pesticides, and other toxic chemicals. It is an environmentally friendly method that uses lower carbon due to lesser fuel and energy consumption. It goes through a chemical-free production process and therefore prevents water contamination. The health of workers is also not compromised.

There are no chemical retentions from organic cotton or water-soluble ink used in our hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts and bags; thus, people with allergies or with specific chemical sensitivity will greatly benefit from our choice of apparel clothing fabric.

All our 100% organic range is printed in water-soluble ink. As water-based inks are free from harmful chemicals, they are safe not just for the environment but for printers to use as well. There are no harsh chemicals or solvents that the user can inhale, and they wash up easily in water.

All of our apparel is not only made from natural materials but by using renewable energy. The factory that supplies our apparel in the UK is all powered and driven by solar panels.Everything is designed from the start to be sent back when it is worn out. Instead of making waste, new products are made from recovered materials. This is Wild Atlantic Surf Co’s commitment to the circular supply chain. These products can continue to be returned and remade again and again. It's free to send our worn-out products back to our partner factory and they even pay the postage in the UK. They recover and remanufacture the material into a new product and all you need to do is scan the care label and follow the steps there.
